Host Studios is a coworking space that provides people with a quiet place where they can concentrate on work, boosting their productivity and widening their circle of acquaintances and possibly business contacts. Coworking

Coworking is a shared working environment so everyone should make their best effort to maintain a quiet working atmosphere.

Calls & Meetings

We encourage members and guests to avoid using phones and devices in a disruptive or noisy manner.

When speaking on a call, please adjust the volume of your voice to an appropriate level.

If your call might disrupt other people using the coworking space (i.e. last longer than 60 seconds or require an above average volume), please take your call in the phone booth, the conference room, or outside.

We request that you keep your phone (and any other devices) on silent to maintain a peaceful atmosphere.

Visitors

While we are fond of pets, the building we are in has a strict no dogs policy, so we must abide by it.

We are an office environment, we understand that working family members occasionally have a child in tow, Host Studios has created a small work area for young children. If they must come with you to work, please ensure they are on their best behavior and respect the environment.

We are not a daycare or playground, so bringing your children on a regular basis is not allowed.

Visitors are welcome, but visits should be kept to 90 minutes or less.

Security

Even in a city as lovely as Bellingham, we don’t want just anyone to be able to walk in and start working or have access to your digital data or belongings.

The building is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday - Friday. Members with 24/7 access will be held responsible for any one they allow into the building outside of normal working hours.

Please be cautious when entering and exiting. Keep your access code private and ensure any doors are fully latched behind you.

The Office

One quality of a strong society is a respect for private and public property. In case of furniture or property damage arising out of negligence, you need to arrange a replacement or pay for the damage. You should not bring your own furniture to the coworking space or stick posters on the walls without prior permission. If you have an idea for a new wall decoration, you are welcome to present it to the community manager. Everyone should endeavor to make the shared office spaces pleasant for all users. The temperature of the room should be such that it will suit most users. We normally avoid under-or-overheating, as it is a waste of valuable energy. Using one’s own heaters is not allowed.

Personal Items

Keep any personal items in the space allotted to you. In the kitchen, the fridge and cupboards are available for you to keep a reasonable amount of personal items. Please label and date any perishable food or anything you don’t want to share with the community. Unlabelled things will be considered available for member and guest use.

Please keep public and exterior facing windows/areas/counter space free of personal items. Contact us if you need more space to store personal items.

Printing

Printing for coworking members is included in your membership fee although excessive printing (>20 pages/day) must be done elsewhere.
